Compliance Analyst- Farmington
Franklin Savings Bank is looking to add to our amazing team! We have an opening for a Compliance Analyst. This position sits on the Loan Compliance team and reports directly to the VP, Loan Compliance and Internal Audit Coordinator.
As our Compliance Analyst, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service to internal staff. This position performs analytical and administrative functions to support VP, Loan Compliance Officer & Internal Audit Coordinator to provide support to compliance and audit functions of the bank. This position has a high potential for growth within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Compliance Staff with the review of properties deemed to be in a flood zone. This may include creating the paper flood file prior to loan closing, filling out flood letters using the required templates, updating excel sheets, checklists, photocopying and/or scanning documents after loan closings as well as the annual monitoring for established loans with a flood property, loans newly deemed to be in a flood hazard zone due to map amendments and cancellation of flood determinations once the loan have been terminated. Quarterly and semi-annual monitoring of reports from vendors for all properties listed in a flood zone.
- Assist Compliance staff in the coordination of compliance reviews and independent audits: requesting and pulling files, printing required data sheets, scanning required documents, as well as monitoring and tracking any audit recommendations.
- Assist Compliance staff with the completion of denied loan packages; Review the completed denials for residential, consumer, and commercial loan packages; Review scanned denied loans.
- Assist Compliance staff with the preparation for Compliance Committee Meetings to include review and summary of complaint log, audit tracking, training and policy status updates.
- Serve as a secondary point of contact for regulators and external auditors regarding compliance matters.
- Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations and work collaboratively with management to update the bank’s compliance practices accordingly, which includes drafting proposed updates.
Qualifications:
- BA or BS in finance, business management, or similar field is desirable
- 3-5 years relevant work experience in a compliance environment
- International Compliance Association (ICA) certification or Certified Securities Compliance Professional (CSCP)

Operations Representative- Farmington
We are looking for an experienced Operations Representative to add to the team! The Operations Rep position is multi-function, as it is responsible for performing operational duties and maintenance related to deposit and loan products and services. It is also responsible for several day-to-day tasks associated with the current and future electronic systems including, but not limited to remote deposit capture, consumer and commercial online banking, electronic statements, bill pay, debit cards, mobile banking, mobile deposit, external bank transfers, person to person payments, commercial online wires, ATMs, and account alerts. This position is additionally accountable for ensuring the accuracy of electronic barcoding/scanning/indexing of all deposit and loan documents; this includes managing the integrity and quality for all scanned documents. This position also provides support related to loan products & services.
Key responsibilities
- Operational duties will vary but may include the following: resolve email and phone requests from customers and bank employees, respond to customers via email or letter, print daily notices, perform deposit and/or loan account maintenance, process incoming wires, handle returned deposited items, analyze reports, process incoming or outgoing postal and branch mail and/or handle debit card-related tasks.
- Assist and provide support to the customer service staff with Operations-related questions by answering emails and incoming calls on the Deposit Operations and/or Loan Operations phone line(s). Provide professional, courteous, and efficient service to all internal and external customers.
- Support the day-to-day operations of electronic customer delivery systems to include remote deposit capture, consumer and commercial online banking, electronic statements, bill pay, debit cards, mobile banking, mobile deposit, ACH, ATMs, and account alerts.
- Responsible for completing the daily indexing process, ensuring image quality and accuracy of indexed data. May assist with barcoding, scanning and indexing of documents.
Qualifications
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished written and orally. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Location
This position is located in Farmington and may be eligible for a hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
- 3-5 Years in a related banking field.

- This position is ideally based in Western Maine. There is an opportunity for hybrid work once training is complete, at the discretion of the manager. Candidates will need reliable transportation for on-site client visits for annual audits and prospecting.

Senior Commercial Credit Analyst- Remote
We are looking for an experienced credit analyst to add to the team! The Senior Commercial Credit Analyst is responsible for financial analysis of our commercial customers of varying complexity and size. Identifying risk, reviewing requests against bank policy and evaluating loan structure are all components of this role. The Senior Commercial Credit Analyst will develop relationships with lending and support staff to ensure appropriate action.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform underwriting of new loan requests of varying complexity
• Recognize trends, determine ability to repay loans, identify risks, and assess collateral
• Work closely with Branch staff and Commercial Lenders to compile information and prepare commercial loan approval write-ups
• Collaborate with teammates to contribute to workflow needs

We are currently seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team and service our markets with a primary focus in the bustling Farmington and Rangeley regions.
