In this position, you will work with lending professionals and other banking personnel to prepare and maintain loans from start to finish in a busy office setting.   • Processing disbursements, extensions and advances on lines of credit

Director of Residential and Consumer Lending

Franklin Savings Bank is seeking a Director of Residential/Consumer Lending to join its talented team to deliver responsible, secure, high quality financial products.    

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with strong experience in Residential & Consumer Lending motivated to lead the department’s overall strategy to develop new loan business and service existing portfolios.   

Work Location:

This position is based in the Farmington main office, primarily in office.  Hybrid arrangement considered after 6 months in the role, but expectations are mostly in-office work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the team of Residential and Consumer lenders, processors, underwriters, servicers, closers, and collectors.  
  • Manage the development, implementation, and operations of residential/consumer lending products & services.  Ensure product offerings meet the customer needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and vet technology & processes to improve service delivery and operational effectiveness.
  • Oversee both the residential and consumer loan portfolios and loan pipelines, monitoring for trends in volume, delinquency or other notable factors 
  • Collaborate in the hiring, training, and retention of staff.
  • Maintain good public relations with customers and the community.  Assume community leadership and service responsibilities.
  • Participate & Contribute to the Loan, Collections, Compliance & Asset/Liability Committees.  
  • Ensure Residential and Consumer team’s adherence to all banking regulations pertaining to Residential and Consumer lending.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience  
  • 15+ Years in Residential and Consumer Lending
