Key Responsibilities:

  • Advanced System Administration: Manage and optimize a variety of technology systems with a particular focus on Microsoft Server 2019 and later, VMware virtualization, centralized storage, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments, using Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  • Information Security: Play a crucial role within our information security framework, ensuring our banking operations and customer data are protected against emerging threats. Your expertise will be vital in shaping our security strategies and practices.
  • End-User Support and Collaboration: Provide comprehensive support across all levels, including direct end-user assistance at levels 1 and 2. Your ability to solve problems and support our staff will ensure the seamless operation of our banking services.
  • Continuous Professional Development: With access to unlimited training opportunities through StormWind Studios and CBT Nuggets, dedicate yourself to 100 hours of professional development annually, keeping our bank advancing with technology and security practices.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Systems Administration: With an associate’s degree or equivalent experience, you bring a wealth of knowledge in systems administration, especially in environments such as Microsoft Server, VMware, and Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficient Helpdesk Support: You will be at the forefront of resolving helpdesk tickets, ensuring our commitment to excellent service and minimal downtime is met with every interaction.
  • Technology Solution Leadership: Take the lead in troubleshooting and implementing technology solutions, particularly supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, to keep our operations running smoothly and securely.
  • Upgrade Coordination and On-call Support: Play a significant role in coordinating technology upgrades and participating in our on-call duty rotation. Your efforts will demonstrate our core value of strength, showing readiness and resilience in the face of challenges.
  • Branch Support and Collaboration: Provide essential support across our branches, which includes occasional travel within a 125-mile radius from Farmington, ME, ensuring all team members have the technological tools they need to excel.

Banking Specialist- Ellsworth

Franklin Savings Bank is looking to add to our amazing team!  We have an opening for a Banking Specialist in our newest location in Ellsworth.  This position supports the Commercial and Business Solutions teams and reports directly to the Branch Manager.

The Banking Specialist is a dynamic position, with the opportunity to play a vital role in supporting our customer experience by serving our customers in a variety of ways.  The person in this role will split their time between Commercial Lending and Business Solutions, and will be the backup for the Teller Line.  

Key Responsibilities:

•    Prepare, Process, and Maintain Loan Documentation  

•    Assists lenders with data collection (titles, insurance, appraisals, surveys, financials and any other documentation required for the loan)

•    Processing disbursements, extensions and advances on lines of credit

•    Prepares documents and responds to customers utilizing Business Online products

•    Process customer transactions 

•    Supporting overall Ellsworth branch activities

Qualifications:

•    Strong verbal and written communication skills

•    Robust attention to detail

•    Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages

•    Prior banking experienced desired

•    This position is on site, based in Ellsworth, Maine.

Encompass System Administrator

Franklin Savings Bank is looking to add to our amazing team!  We have an opening for an experienced Encompass System Administrator.  This position sits on the Residential & Consumer Lending team and reports directly to the VP, Loan Processing Manager & Underwriter. 

As our Encompass System Administrator, you will play a vital role in managing, configuring, and optimizing our Encompass environment, ensuring seamless operations and providing exceptional user experiences. Your expertise will support our mission to offer outstanding financial services through innovative technology and personalized customer interactions.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain the Encompass loan origination system, ensuring optimal performance and reliability within the Loan Department.
  • Collaborate closely with the IT and Mortgage teams to implement updates, integrations, and customizations to meet business objectives.
  • Provide technical support, training, and guidance to users, enhancing their effective use of the Encompass system.
  • Work directly under the guidance of the VP, Loan Processing Manager & Underwriter to align Encompass system capabilities with strategic lending goals.
  • Ensure strict adherence to security standards and compliance regulations in all lending processes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Encompass Administrator or similar role, with a thorough understanding of the Encompass platform.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering teamwork and collaboration across departments.
  • Familiarity with mortgage lending processes and regulatory compliance highly desirable.
  • Encompass Administration Certification is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

  • This position is based out of our main office in Farmington, however we are open to a hybrid arrangement for the right candidate.
