Franklin Savings Bank Announces Promotions of Four New Officers

FARMINGTON, Maine – Franklin Savings Bank is pleased to announce the promotions of four employees whose leadership, dedication, and accomplishments have earned them officer roles within the organization.

Ben Altmaier Promoted to AVP, Manager of Information Technology

Ben recently celebrated his 10-year anniversary with Franklin Savings Bank. He began his career in the Commercial Credit Department before transitioning to the Information Technology team as a Helpdesk Technician.

Over the years, Altmaier has been instrumental in the continued success of the IT department. His reliability, technical expertise, and steadfast leadership have helped guide the Bank through numerous system enhancements and organizational changes.

“Ben has been a trusted and dependable member of our team throughout his career at Franklin Savings Bank,” said Jim Woolverton, SVP, Director of IT & Operations. “His ability to adapt to change, solve complex challenges, and support both employees and customers has made a tremendous impact on the organization. This promotion is well deserved.”.

Caulin Parker Promoted to Commercial Loan Officer

Caulin’s career with Franklin Savings Bank began in 2018 as a Seasonal Customer Service Representative. While attending college, he continued to work part-time with the Bank before joining the Commercial Banking Department in 2020.

Since then, Parker has advanced through several positions, including Commercial Banking Trainee, Credit Analyst II, and Commercial Lender. His progression through these roles has provided him with a deep understanding of commercial banking and a well-rounded perspective that benefits both customers and colleagues.

Recently, Caulin joined the Board of Directors for the High Peaks Alliance, further demonstrating his commitment to serving the local community.

“Caulin has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and a genuine commitment to helping local businesses succeed,” said Tim Tunney, VP, Senior Commercial Loan Officer & Team Leader. “His growth within our organization has been impressive, and we are excited to see him continue building relationships and supporting our commercial customers in this expanding role.”

Carrie Hatch Promoted to Collateral Underwriting Officer

Carrie has been with the Bank for over six years and has become a pillar of the loan processing and lending team. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to quality have contributed significantly to the department’s success.

In her new role, Hatch will be responsible for evaluating and documenting the adequacy, accuracy, and suitability of collateral securing residential mortgage loans.

“Carrie’s expertise, dedication, and willingness to take on new challenges have made her an invaluable member of our lending team,” said Bett Hardy, VP, Loan Processing and Underwriting Manager. “She approaches every task with care. Her promotion reflects the confidence we have in her abilities and future leadership.”

Jon Downing Promoted to Facilities Manager

During his four years with the Bank, Downing has made significant contributions to the organization’s facilities operations. His initiative and commitment to continuous improvement have helped create welcoming, safe, and efficient environments for both customers and employees.

Downing remains motivated to ensure Franklin Savings Bank’s facilities are the best they can be, and his pride in providing a positive experience for customers and staff is evident in everything he does.
